Funded Skills Training in the East Midlands
We are working in partnership with the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) to provide funded training that helps people develop the skills needed by employers and supports the economic priorities of the region.
Our training is designed around identified skills needs and employment opportunities, helping adults gain relevant skills, access new careers and progress in work.
The partnership supports EMCCA’s focus on employer-driven skills development, equality, aspiration and inclusion, with training targeted at priority skills shortages across the East Midlands.
Skills for People, Employers and the East Midlands
The East Midlands has significant opportunities for growth, creating demand for people with the right technical and occupational skills.
Through our partnership with EMCCA, we provide training that responds to the needs of employers and helps local people benefit from these opportunities.
Our funded programmes are designed to:
- Develop skills that respond to current and emerging employer needs
- Help people access in-demand occupations and new career opportunities
- Support people already in work to develop and progress
- Help employers address skills shortages
- Contribute to productivity, progression and inclusive growth across the East Midlands
EMCCA requires its Skills Bootcamp provision to be employer-led and aligned with current and emerging labour-market needs and its wider priorities for productivity, progression and inclusive growth.
